Terms of service

Terms of Service

Effective 2026-06-27.

Welcome to printsforwall. These terms govern your purchase of wall art prints from our store at printsforwall.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.

If you have questions before ordering, email us at team@printsforwall.com.

1. Who you are buying from

The store is operated by a trader registered in the Czech Republic. Full legal identity, registration number, and registered address are listed on our Legal Notice page. We refer to ourselves as "we", "us", or "printsforwall" throughout these terms.

2. How a contract is formed

When you place an order, you make an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you the order confirmation email. The contract is governed by the law of the Czech Republic, specifically Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code, §1820 and following sections on distance contracts.

We may refuse to accept an order if:

  • The product is no longer available.
  • The price was listed in error.
  • We suspect fraud or chargeback abuse.
  • We cannot ship to the destination.

If we refuse, we refund any payment in full.

3. Products and how they are made

We sell wall art prints. Every print is produced on demand by our production partner Gelato ASA after you order. Nothing is stocked in advance.

Because each print is made for you, production takes time. Typical schedule is 2 to 4 business days for production, plus shipping. The estimate shown at checkout is based on your destination.

Colors on screens differ slightly from colors on paper. We work to keep this small, but we cannot guarantee an exact match between your monitor and the printed result.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency of your store region and are the final price you pay us. We are a small trader that is not registered for VAT in the Czech Republic, so no Czech VAT is added to your order. Orders shipped outside the EU may attract import duties or local taxes collected on delivery — see our Shipping Policy.

We accept payment through Shopify Payments, which supports major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and similar methods. Some regions may also see PayPal or other options at checkout. We do not see, store, or process your card number ourselves.

If a price was listed in error, we will let you know before processing. You can confirm the corrected price or cancel.

5. Shipping and delivery

Shipping terms are in our Shipping Policy. In short: production plus delivery, real estimate at checkout, full tracking by email once dispatched.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU and EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The period starts the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods.

Our prints are sold in standard sizes (for example 8×10, 11×14, 30×40 cm). They are not personalized to you, so the §1837(d) exception for personalized goods does not apply. You can withdraw.

Full procedure, and the statutory withdrawal form, is on our Returns & Refunds page.

7. Faulty or damaged items

EU consumers have a statutory two-year warranty for goods under Civil Code §2161.

In practice, if a print arrives damaged or with a print defect, do not return it. Email us a photo within 14 days of receipt and we will send a free replacement or refund you, whichever you prefer. See our Returns & Refunds page for the full process.

8. Intellectual property

All artwork sold through the store is copyrighted. Copyright belongs to printsforwall or to the artists we license from. Buying a print gives you the right to display it in your home or office. It does not give you the right to copy, redistribute, or resell it.

For copyright takedown requests, see IP & Copyright.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to use the store lawfully. Specific rules are listed in Acceptable Use. Violation may lead to order refusal, account suspension, or legal action.

10. Our liability

We are liable for breaches of these terms, up to the value of the order in question.

Czech and EU law does not allow us to exclude or limit liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or gross misconduct. Those liabilities remain in full.

We are not liable for delays or damage caused by carriers once your package has been handed over for shipping.

11. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, please email team@printsforwall.com first. We respond within 1 to 2 business days and try to resolve issues directly.

If we cannot reach an agreement, EU consumers may turn to Česká obchodní inspekce (ČOI), the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, for out-of-court dispute resolution: https://www.coi.cz.

Filing a complaint with this body is free for the consumer.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live still apply on top of Czech law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance, by email or via a banner on the store. The version that was in force when you placed your order continues to apply to that order.
