This page covers who owns the artwork in our store, what you get when you buy a print, and how to report a copyright concern.

Who owns the artwork

All artwork sold through printsforwall is copyrighted. Rights are held by us or by artists who have licensed their work to us. Nothing on the store is in the public domain.

What you get when you buy a print

You buy a physical print and a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal-use license to display it. That license lets you:

  • Hang the print in your home.
  • Hang the print in a private office or workspace.
  • Photograph the print as part of your space and share those photos on personal social media.

The license does not include:

  • Reselling the print to a third party.
  • Reproducing or scanning the print to make further copies.
  • Using the artwork as part of another commercial product (apparel, packaging, NFTs, training data, anything else).
  • Sub-licensing the artwork to anyone else.

If you want a commercial license — for an office lobby, hotel, hospitality space, or product — email team@printsforwall.com and we can discuss terms.

We do not accept customer-uploaded artwork

The store does not have an upload feature. Every print on offer is from our own catalogue. If we add an upload feature in the future, this page will be updated to describe the rules.

Reporting infringement against your copyright

If you are a copyright holder and believe an item in our store reproduces your work without permission, email team@printsforwall.com with the subject "Copyright complaint". Include:

  1. Identification of the work you own (link or attached image).
  2. Identification of the listing on our store you believe infringes (URL).
  3. Your contact information (name, postal address, email).
  4. A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  6. A physical or electronic signature.

We investigate within 7 days. If the complaint is substantiated, we remove the listing and stop fulfilling pending orders for it. We notify the artist or licensor.

This procedure follows the spirit of US DMCA 17 USC §512 and EU Directive 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market.

Counter-notice

If we remove an item and you believe the removal was wrong (for example, you are the rights-holder or have a valid license), email team@printsforwall.com with:

  1. Identification of the removed item.
  2. Statement that the removal was wrong and your basis for the claim.
  3. Your contact information.
  4. Signature.

We assess counter-notices on the same 7-day timeline.

Repeat infringers

We do not knowingly fulfill listings flagged as infringing. If we receive multiple substantiated complaints about the same source, we stop licensing from that source.

Our trademarks

The name "printsforwall" and our logos are unregistered trademarks. You may not use them in ways that suggest endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without prior written consent.
